ABSTRACT

- Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was recognized in December 2019 and spread very severely throughout the world. In 2022 May, the total death numbers reached 6.28 million people worldwide. During the pandemic, some alternative vaccines were discovered in the middle of 2020. Today, many countries are struggling to supply vaccines and vaccinate their citizens. Besides the difficulties of vaccine supply, mass vaccination is a challenging but mandatory task for the countries. Within this context, determining the mass vaccination site is very important for recovering, thus a five-step approach is generated in this paper to solve this real-life problem. Firstly the mass vaccination site selection criteria are determined, and secondly, the spatial data are collected and mapped by using Geographical Information System (GIS) software. Then, the entropy weighting method (EWM) is used for determining the relative importance levels of criteria and fourthly, the multiple attribute utility theory (MAUT) approach is used for ranking the potential mass vaccination sites. Lastly, ranked alternative sites are analyzed using network analyst tool of GIS in terms of covered population. A case study is conducted in Gaziantep city which is the ninth most population and having above-average COVID-19 patients in Turkey. As a result, the fourth alternative (around the Sehitkamil Monument) is chosen as the best mass vaccination site for the city. It is believed that the outcomes of the paper could be used by city planners and decision-makers.

ABSTRACT

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), a new illness caused by a novel coronavirus, a member of the corona family of viruses, is currently posing a threat to all people, and it has become a significant challenge for healthcare organizations. Robotics are used among other strategies, to lower COVID’s fatality and spread rates globally. The robot resembles the human body in shape and is a programmable mechanical device. As COVID is a highly contagious disease, the treatment for the critical stage COVID patients is decided to regulate through medication service robots (MSR). The use of service robots diminishes the spread of infection and human error and prevents frontline healthcare workers from exposing themselves to direct contact with the COVID illness. The selection of the most appropriate robot among different alternatives may be complex. So, there is a need for some mathematical tools for proper selection. Therefore, this study design the MAUT-BW Delphi method to analyze the selection of MSR for treating COVID patients using integrated fuzzy MCDM methods, and these alternatives are ranked by influencing criteria. The trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are beneficial and efficient for expressing vague information and are defuzzified using a novel algorithm called converting trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers into crisp scores (CTrIFCS). The most suitable criteria are selected through the fuzzy Delphi method (FDM), and the selected criteria are weighted using the simplified best-worst method (SBWM). The performance between the alternatives and criteria is scrutinized under the multi-attribute utility theory (MAUT) method. Moreover, to assess the effectiveness of the proposed method, sensitivity and comparative analyses are conducted with the existing defuzzification techniques and distance measures. This study also adopt the idea of a correlation test to compare the performance of different defuzzification methods.

ABSTRACT

Direct Village Fund Cash Assistance (BLT-Dana Desa) is a form of assistance from the government in the form of cash to poor families in villages sourced from the Village Fund to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. To facilitate village officials in determining aid recipients quickly, accurately and on target, the MAUT method was chosen which was deemed suitable for use in the Decision Support System (DSS) which had many criteria so that it could easily calculate each alternative based on the many types of criteria and sub-criteria used and with a predetermined weight. There are 148 data samples of BLT recipients registered in the Social Welfare Integrated Data (DTKS) of Loa Janan Ulu village. The criteria in this study are building floor Size, type of house floor, types of house walls, sanitary facilities, power source, source of drinking water, cooking fuel, consumption of chicken/meat/milk, clothing needs, consumption in a day, do not have savings max. 500.000 rupiah. Based on the results of calculations using the MAUT method, a recommendation for direct cash assistance recipients was obtained with an accuracy value of 92.57%.

ABSTRACT

The COVID 19 pandemic, fluctuating demand, market uncertainty and the emergence of new technologies explain the need for a more flexible and agile supply chain. In fact, several important factors should be taken into account in the process of building an adaptive and reconfigurable supply chain. Reconfigurability is used to measure quantitatively the capability of supply chain to change easily their structure and functions. The aim of this work is to evaluate the level of reconfigurability of a supply chain. Quantitative measures of six indicators that characterize reconfigurability are presented in this paper. Then, an index of reconfigurability in supply chain is developed based on The Multi-Attribute Utility Theory in order to choose the most reconfigurable configuration. An illustrative example is also given. From the discussion, it is deduced that the characteristics of the reconfigurable supply chain impacts positively on the degree of reconfigurability.
